Vigilance takes Joydeep on remand again

A special (vigilance) court here today allowed the vigilance department of Odisha police to take arrested Tripura-cadre IPS officer Joydeep Nayak on remand for two more days.
Nayak, a native of Odisha, was arrested on July 23 on graft charges. The vigilance police had taken him on remand for three days last week.
The suspended IPS officer was arrested in connection with his role in embezzling Rs 88 lakh meant for computer education of SC and ST students.
