Antony broke Kannan at 4-3 in the opening set as he went on to win it by 6-3 while in the second, Kannan forced Antony to play more from the baseline as he rallied to win it by an identical score.
In the decider, Kannan completely dominated Antony as the former clinched the issue without dropping a single game.
In the opening set, Namita broke Himani twice to take a 5-1 lead and from there the Haryana girl tried her best to push the set into tie-breaker but only to drop it.
But the second and the deciding sets were almost a one-sided affair for Himani as she took complete control over the situation.
Himani not only displayed consistent ground strokes from the baseline but also finished some enthralling points from the net, as she looked very confident from all corners of the court.
