Warrant issued against music composer in cheque bounce case
First Class Judicial Magistrate Ajay Pendam issued the warrant and fixed August 7 for next hearing of the case, Prabhash Jain, counsel of complainant Vineet Sharma, told reporters.
According to Jain, the court was to deliver its verdict in the case today and had asked Shravan to appear before it in person. Since the Bollywood music composer failed to do so, an arrest warrant was issued against him.
Shravan had issued a cheque of Rs 15 lakh in favour of Sharma, a businessman, in 2008 but it was dishonoured. Following this, Sharma had filed a case against the music composer, Jain said.
