The tiger is still in the area and the forest personnel are trying to capture it, Sinha told PTI here.
Asked whether the tiger had come to Lalgarh from Simlipal in Odisha or from Jharkhand, he said, "I do not know. We can only confirm it if we can catch it and compare it with the data base".

The forest personnel have placed traps in areas where the tiger was located, he added.
