WC to probe circumstances leading to family of minor girl
Press Trust of India Thiruvananthapuram Kerala Women's Commission today said it would probe the circumstances leading to the mother and other family members of a minor girl, who was allegedly raped and killed Kollam recently, being forced out of their home.
The circumstances leading them to leave their home would be probed and a solution found, the commission said in a statement here.
The explanation of police and local people would be taken and all steps would be taken to provide them necessary protection, the commission said.
The even-year-old girl was lured by her aunt's husband to a rubber plantation where she was raped and killed.
The girl's mother, sister and patents alleged that a section of local people abused them, assaulted and drove them out of their home.
Police said they have not yet received any complaints from the family.
