The application, titled "E-book for Martyrs" has been launched by Delhi Police to pay tribute to their colleagues who laid down their lives in the line of duty, said a senior official.
The application, formally launched on Diwali, acts as a medium to identify the lesser known heroes of our country who readily surrendered their lives while fighting for the people's peace and security, said the senior official.
"The application facilitates integration of all the data related to the Martyrs at a single place, making it easily available for all. Though the app has been created in English, the citation is consciously given in Hindi so that it can reach out to a much wider audience," the official said.
