While the domestic sector will see 599 operations a week at the Kochi Airport, in the International sector it would be 479 during the winter schedule, effective from October 25 to March 28, next year.
Apart from this, CIAL has started discussions with the newly introduced Air Pegasus to operate services to Chennai and Bangalore. The company is also in dialogue with Air India and Air Asia India to commence direct flight services to Goa, a Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) press release said.
The new schedule indicates that Bangalore is the most frequented city to which there will be 89 aircraft movements from Kochi. Mondays and Wednesdays will have 14 operations each.
Mumbai comes second with 72 flights while there will be 48 flight movements are scheduled for Chennai and 38 to Delhi.
