Western Army Commander reviews security situation in Jammu

In the backdrop of the fortnight-long shelling and ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the International Border (IB) in Jammu, a senior Army officer today reviewed the security situation.
During his day-long visit here, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, Lt Gen Philip Campose reviewed security situation in Jammu, a defence spokesman said here.
The Army Commander interacted with Commanders and senior officers of Rising Star Corps zone area at Jammu Garrison, he said.
Maj Gen Ashwani Kumar, GOC, Tiger Division briefed the Army Commander about the state of present security scenario in the Jammu region and the defence preparedness.
