Western army commander reviews security situation of Samba-

Lt Gen Surinder Singh, Western Army Commander, today visited forward areas of Samba and Pathankot sectors and reviewed the security situation.
He reviewed the preparedness of the Army in the region and stressed on ensuring fail-safe security measures, Defence spokesman said.
The Western Army commander appreciated the coordinated efforts being made by all security agencies in the area.
He was briefed by Lt Gen Y V K Mohan, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Rising Star Corps on the prevailing situation in the Jammu-Pathankot region and the security measures in place, the spokesman said.
