Wheat rises on demand from flour mills, tight supply

Wheat prices went up by Rs 10 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today following increased offtake by flour mills.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Traders said increased offtake by flour mills against limited arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) moved up by Rs 10 to Rs 1,530-1,535 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and edged up by a similar margin to Rs 1,550-1,555 per 90 kg.
