Wheat weakens on increased supply

Wheat prices moved down by Rs 10 per quintal in lacklustre trade on the wholesale grains market today due to increased supplies from producing regions against reduced offtake by flour mills.
However, other grains moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said reduced offtake by flour mills against increased supplies from producing region mainly kept pressure on wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) declined by Rs 10 to Rs 1,560-1,565 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by the same margin to Rs 1,565-1,570 per 90 kg.

Wheat MP (deshi) 2,100-2,300, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,560-1,565, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,565-1,570 Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill 875-885 (50 kg), Maida 940-950 (50 kg) and Sooji 1,020-1,040 (50kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice, 9,500, Basmati common new 9,200-9,500, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 8,200-9,900, Permal raw 2,200-2,250, Permal wand 2,250-2,350, Sela 2,800-2,900 and Rice IR-8- 1,850-1,900, Bajra 1,320-1,330, Jowar yellow 1,500-1,530, white 2,350-2,560, Maize 1,435-1,440, Barley 1,400-1,410, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
