Wife of former railway general manager killed by robbers

Wife of a retired general manager of railway was allegeldy strangulated to death by some unidentified men when she resisted their robbery attempt at her residence in Vijay Nagar area here today, police said.
The incident took place at around 8.30 AM in Pratap Vihar when the armed miscreants barged into the house of Ashutosh Manuj, who had gone to Delhi for some work, they said.
They killed his 61-year-old wife Vimla Manuj after she tired to stop them and decamped after looting cash, jewellery and mobile phones from the house.
A case has been registered in this regard while the further probes are on, police added.
