Wild cat trapped in cage meant to catch foxes near airport

A wild cat was trapped in a cage put up by the forest department at Devi Ahilyabai Airport here today, to catch foxes which posed a danger to flights.
"The forest department has been trying to catch foxes in the airport's premises for which cages have been installed. A wild cat was trapped today," Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) A K Joshi told PTI.
In the past, two foxes were trapped, he said.
The population of foxes around the airport has posed a danger since these animals have come close to the aircraft earlier, an airport officer said.
Thickets around the airport is home to around 20 foxes, wildlife experts said.
