Witchraft case in Simdega

A man today
complained to the police that five villagers killed his wife and another woman after accusing them of practising witchcraft at Saraipani village in Simdega district, the police said.
Haura Pradhan filed an FIR with the Kolebira police station alleging that the men lynched his wife Ratni Devi and another woman Vimla Devi yesterday and took their bodies away, Superintendent of Police Rajeev Ranjan told reporters here.
Pradhan said the men branded the two women as 'witches' and that the grisly incident happened in his presence, the police officer said.
The police have launched search operation to trace the bodies and the killers, the SP said.
