With the arrest of a domestic help, the Delhi police today claimed to have solved a case of robbery which took place in a house in west Delhi's Janakpuri area, an official said.
The accused, identified as Puja alias Sabiha, was arrested from Siwan in Bihar, he said, adding that jewellery worth Rs 25 to 30 lakh and cash worth Rs 80,000 from her possession.
On May 24, the woman attacked an old lady when she caught her red-handed while stealing money and later escaped with all the jewellery and cash, he said.
Puja was hired as a domestic help a few days ago, the official said.
During interrogation, the woman confessed to her crime and told the police that she used to roam around in posh colonies to fix targets and gain entry in households as maid.
