Woman falls into well, rescued

Fire service personnel resued a 32-year-old woman after she fell into a 30-feet well at Chandrama Street in Bada Bazara area here today.
We immediately rushed to the spot after getting a call from the family members of the woman. It took around half-an-hour to rescue the woman from the deep well, said Assistant Fire Officer, Berhampur, Sanatan Mohapatra.
The reasue team used a rope-ladder and a rope to pull the woman, S Sumati (32), out from the well, which was situated in the premises of the house, he said.
The woman, who was inside the well for around an hour, was admitted to the City Hospital here for treatment as she suffered minor injuries, the fire officer said.
