Woman found dead; husband, in-laws booked
The deceased, identified as Munni, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her in-laws' house in Garima Garden Colony here this morning, they said.
Munni's father Bhoore later lodged a complaint at Sahibabad Police station alleging that his daughter was murdered by her husband and in-laws over dowry and her body was hung from the ceiling fan to make it seem like a suicide case.
According to Bhoore, Munni, who had married a few months ago, was frequently harassed by her husband's family for dowry.
Sahibabad Police has registered a case against Munni's husband and in-laws, who are absconding.
