A woman here has lodged a complaint against her husband for allegedly beating her up in a drunken state and then driving her out of their house, police said.
According to police, the woman had last year married one Ankit, a resident of New Defence Colony here.
She alleged that her husband has a drinking problem and, of late, would even beat her after getting drunk.
After coming home drunk in the evening yesterday, he got into an argument with his wife during which he again allegedly thrashed her and then, after snatching away the silver and gold ornaments which she was wearing, drove her out of the house.
The woman thereafter lodged a complaint against her husband, police said, adding that they were inquiring into the matter.
