Woman immolates self, her two sons in Raj

A 28-year-old woman immolated herself along with her two minor sons in Kelwa town in Rajsamand district today.
Reportedly, Santosh Kanwar was mentally ill and her husband had gone out to feed the cattle at the time of incident.
Kanwar allegedly locked the room where her two sons Narendra Singh (8) and Gajendra Singh (3) were sleeping. She then poured kerosene oil on her children and herself, before taking the extreme step, police said.
When neighbours saw smoke emanating out of the room, they informed the police who rushed all three to a hospital where they were declared brought dead.

Forensic experts were called in to collect evidence and the police handed over the bodies to family members after post mortem examination.
Further investigation in the matter is on, police said.
