Woman kills kids, self on being chided by hubby

Upset over a warning by her husband against prolonging her stay at her parents' house, a woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide granules after giving it to her two minor children at Therku Poolangulam village in the district, police said.
Police said Kanni took the extreme step after her husband, with whom she used to have frequent quarrels, asked her to come back to his house with the children.
He had warned her against staying at the house of her parents for a long time.
Kanni allegedly gave pesticide granules to her two daughters Anusuya (7) and Saranya (5) yesterday and then herself consumed it.

The three died on the way to the hospital, police said.
