Woman raped by lover and his friend

A 35-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her lover and his friend in G T Road Kotwali area, police said.
According to the woman's statement, the incident occurred last night when her lover, Anuj Chowdhary, asked her to meet at Lal Kuan and he served her a sedative-laced drink following which she lost consciousness, SHO Kotwali Dhirendra Yadav said.
She alleged that Chowdhary and his friend took turns raping her and later the duo dropped her by motorcycle at Chipiyana railway crossing from where she reached kotwali police station, the SHO said.
The woman, who is a resident from Hapur, is a divorcee. She had come here on Monday evening to attend some programme in Vijay Nagar area, he said.

An FIR has been registered under IPC section 376 and the victim has been referred to district hospital for medical examination, he said, adding, efforts are on to nab the two accused.
