Anita Vishnoi, 48, a resident of Bikaner, was heading to her son's rented room at I L colony in Jhawarnagar area last night when two youths on a motorcycle snatched her handbag containing the amount, Station House Officer (SHO) Jhawarnagar police station Bhagwat Singh Hingade said.
The woman had come to stay with her son, who was enrolled in a coaching institute here, and was to pay his fees in a couple of days, police said.
A case has been lodged against the unidentified youths on the complaint by the woman but so far no arrest has been made in the case, the SHO said adding that efforts were on to nab the accused.
