allegedly shot dead by unidentified persons in Mehmoodabad area here, police said today.
The victim identified as Suman Verma, was shot dead by unidentified persons when she was going with her brother-in-law Sonu to Lali village last evening, Station Officer K K Mishra said.
The woman was shot in her head and prima facie property dispute appeared to be the motive behind the murder, he said adding, eight empty bullet shells were recovered from spot.
Circle Officer Mehmoodabad V K Rai said that efforts were being made to arrest the assailants.
