The deceased, identified as Avdhesh, wife of a labourer Dhaniram, and her two sons, Vikas (4) and Lallan (18- month) went to the well in Mamouni village under Amola police station to wash clothes last evening, but did not return, area police sub-inspector Harishanker Sharma said.
In night, villagers launched a search to find them. Later, body of the woman and her two children were found floating in the well, he said.
Police suspect that it could be a case of suicide where the woman must have thrown her sons into the well first and then jumped to death.
All the bodies have been sent to hospital for postmortem, police added.
