Women attack liquor stores

Women from Chiroli village today attacked liquor stores here and burnt illicit liquor bottles.
The women said some people were selling ilicit liquor in the area and "spoiling" youths and men. They claimed that in spite of their complaints, police did not take action against them.
Today around a dozen women along with some youths reached the stores and beat up the men selling liquor.
They then set ablaze two bags of liquors stored there.
Seeing the fire, a police team reached there and pacified the women by assuring action against liquor mafia.
Jewar police station SHO Surinder Yadav said liquor mafias will be arrested.

District Excise Officer Ram Ujagir Mauraya said excise team from other area seized 31 cartons of smuggled liquor.
So far around 500 cartons of smuggled liquor has been seized in the last fortnight.
