Women beaten up for resisting eve-teasing attempt

Seven members including six women of a family were attacked allegedly by youths while they resisted their teasing bid in a local bus in the district, police said here today.
The incident took place last evening when victims were traveling in a bus from Khatoli to Jansath to attend a wedding, when six youths started passing lewd remarks at them, police said.
On being resisted by the victims, hooligans hit them.
A case has been registered against the six absconding youths, one of them identified as Sushil Kumar, police said.
Later, irate people protested against the incident outside the Khatoli police station.
