Women members of SMS felicitated

Members of a women organization "Shaktirupa Mahila Sanghatan" (SMS), which was spearheading movement against illicit liquor and drug addiction in West Singhbhum district were felicitated at an event here to mark the scheduled release of Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla starrer Bollywood movie "Gulaab Gang" today.
Pappu Sardar, an ardent fan of Madhuri Dixit, who organized the event, said the film promo was held at Cheshire Home for retarded women here, where the SMS activists wearing pink sarees were felicitated by him.
In an attempt to match the title of the movie, he said all the women including the SMS members, Cheshire Home staff as well as its inmates wore Pink Saree.. Apart, the pink sarees was also distributed among the women inmates of the old age home here to mark the occasion.

Ven the cake, which was cut by a staff taking care of the retarded inmates of the Cheshire Home, was of pink colour, he said expressing confident that the movie will encourage the women to face the challenges boldly.
