Ponting had bowled a bit during the Big Bash T20 tournament back in Australia.
"I have told the Mumbai Indian boys that I had bowled a bit in the Big Bash. However, I am not in the league of Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. I won't be bowling in the IPL. The grounds are not big enough here. We haven't have enough spare balls for me to come and bowl," he said at the unveiling of Nike's cricket shoes here.
Talking about Nike's new product, Ponting said wearing right cricket gears make players comfortable which helps them excel in sport.
Influenced by the insights of some of India's biggest cricket stars including Virat Kohli and Ashwin, along with international players including Daniel Vettori, Nike's design team created the latest cricket footwear as a fully integrated solution focused around stability, flexibility and breathability for today's cricketers, Nike Inc Senior Footwear Designer Cory McCullagh said.
