Work proactively to counter BJP's charges: Raj PCC cheif

The Congress today asked its partymen in poll-bound Rajasthan to proactively counter the "baseless" allegations levelled by opposition BJP by informing people about various development schemes run by the state government.
In a PCC meeting here, state party chief Chandrabhan said the Congress is exposing BJP with the help its 'Sandesh Yatra' and bringing the truth before people.
"BJP has always betrayed public and it is doing it again through its 'Suraj Sankalp Yatra', but we are also exposing them with our 'Sandesh Yatra', through which, we are bringing truth in front of all," state party chief Chandrabhan said.
Terming BJP's allegations of a starvation death in Chittorgarh district as "absolutely baseless", the Congress chief said no such death has taken place.
The PCC chief said Congress Sankalp Yatra, in its four phases, has covered 29 Assembly constituencies and addressed 30 mass meetings.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, ih his address, said party Vice President Rahul Gandhi has taken such initiatives to strengthen party set up which cannot be seen in other parties.
He advised party workers to establish direct contact with maximum number of people to seek their feedback, and apprise about the same to senior leaders.
Union minister C P Joshi also attended the meeting.
