"The motive behind the whole exercise is to once again make the country a global wrestling powerhouse," Sangram told reporters in Mohali.
The event's inaugural match will be between Sangram and Robbie E on February 6.
Announcing the initiative, Sangram said he has teamed up with entrepreneur and wrestling enthusiast Janardan Pandey to form Champion's Pro Kushti in association with World Wrestling Professionals (WWP), South Africa.
Sangram Singh said they had set their eyes on small towns and villages to unearth India's immense wrestling potential.
