Das will get this recognition for his book 'Bahnimana' and his overall literary contribution to the Odia literature.
His name was announced by the Sarala Award Committee yesterday.
The award, instituted by Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT), carries a cash reward of Rs 2.5 lakh and a citation.
Odissi classical and devotional singer Shymamani Devi and famous artist Siba Panigrahi will also be honoured for their contributions in their respective fields this year.
Both the artistes will receive a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh and a citation each.
