attempting to retrieve a ball from a pond in village Jagdishpur Bhaluwan here, police said today.
19-year-old Prince, was playing cricket along with his friends when their ball fell into the pond yesterday, police said.
In an attempt to retrieve the ball, he jumped into the pond without realising its depth and drowned, said police.
His body was fished out following a two-hour search operation launched by the police, they said.
