Youth gets 7 yrs in jail for raping minor

A local court today sentenced a 22-year-old youth to seven years in jail for raping his neighbour's minor daughter for nearly two months.
A fine of Rs 10,000 was also imposed on Rohit by the court of additional district and sessions judge Ram Niwas Bharti.
A case of rape had been registered against the convict on February 23.
According to the complaint, the victim's mother, who was a single parent, had to go to her village in Uttarakhand for few months regarding some work and had therefore left her daughter with her neighbour Rita.
After two months, the woman received a call from Rita saying that her daughter was unwell and down with jaundice.

When the woman reached Faridabad she found that Rita had lied to her. On asking her daughter, the girl told her that Rohit used to rape her and that Rita had knowledge about it.
