The injured person has been identified as Chandan Kumar of Chanan police station area in the district, police said.
Chanan Station House Officer (SHO) Pankaj Kumar Jha said, "The IED device was kept in a stainless steel can and kept on a newly built small bridge on an under-construction road. The injured youth was going to toilet in the open this morning. He saw the can and touched it following which it exploded."
"Prima facie it seems to be a handiwork of miscreants, and not of any naxal group but anything could be said with certainty only after our investigation progresses. So far no naxal group has claimed responsibility for the explosion," he added.
