Youth killed at party in UP

A 24-year-old youth was allegedly killed after an altercation during a birthday party hosted by a class-IV employee inside MMG hospital's residential area, police said today.
SHO City Kotwali Dhirendra Yadav said that Madan Som, a resident of Adarsh Nagar colony in Ghookna area, was invited by Mohan, a MMG hospital employee, to attend a party at his house last night.
During dinner, Madan allegedly engaged in a heated argument with another invitee Lokesh Tyagi, a resident of Khakhoda town in Hapur district.
Thereafter, Lokesh allegedly slit Madan's neck using some sharp-edged weapon following which the latter was rushed to the emergency ward of MMG hospital by other invitees.
The doctors declared Madan brought dead upon arrival.
Upon complaint of the deceased's brother Shiv Kumar, an FIR has been registered against Lokesh and other unknown assailants.
Police is investigating the case and the accused will be nabbed soon, the SHO added.
