Youth shot dead in Palamu
today shot dead by unidentified persons near Kanda Mohalla Chowk in Mediningar of Palamau district, police said.
The 24-year-old, identified as Jaiprakash Gupta, a resident of Chiyanki, was on his way to distribute marriage invitation cards of his cousin among the relatives when two unidentified persons intercepted him and shot at him in the chest, police said.
Gupta was fatally injured, sources said adding that a police team rushed to the spot to investigate the matter.
The identity of the killers and the motive was yet to ascertained, sources added.
