Youth trying to stop robbers stealing his buffaloes killed

Protests erupted after a youth was killed and five others were injured by robbers who stole his 18 buffaloes in Kheria village here, police said.
"Police contingent would be posted at the village. We have taken it as a challenge," SSP Rakesh Singh said.
The traders, 16 to 18 in number attacked Chotu and his family members.
Trying to stop the robbers, Chotu was killed after he was struck with a heavy rod on his head. His rest of the family were also injured by them.
Infuriated bythe incident, angry villagers blocked the Yamuna Expressway for over an hour today.

"The villagers stopped their protests after they were assured of speedy investigation and compensation to the kin of deceased family," the SSP said.
