"Rahul's two-day visit has recharged the party in Gujarat and it is the demand of the young generation that Rahul should become Prime Minister," Vaghela said after a party meeting here.
"Rahul is a youth icon and Gujarat Congress would extend its full support to him to become the Prime Minister."
The Congress vice president met over 2,000 party workers and leaders from 13 districts of Saurashtra and North Gujarat at the meeting here today.
Senior Congress leaders Shaktisinh Gohil and Siddharth Patel too termed the visit as "a moral booster" for Congress.
"He paid attention to party worker's suggestions and had a successful interaction," they said.
