YSR Congress stages road blockade for second day

Several YSR Congress Party activists were arrested as they continued their agitation against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh for the second day here by blocking roads at many places in Krishna district.
Party cadres staged sit-ins on highways at Jaggaihpet, Vijayawada, Kaikalur, Hanuman Junction and other places, which held up traffic for several hours between Vijayawada and Hyderabad as well as between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
Police used force and arrested many agitating YSRCP leaders to clear the way for the stranded vehicles on national highways.
Among those arrested by the police were former legislators Uday Bhanu, Jaleel Khan, J Ramesh.
