One Direction member Zayn Malik faced a racist attack when a parody track entitled 'Zayn Did 9/11' turned up on iTunes.
The track called 'Zayn Did 9/11' features the singer's silhouette superimposed over an image of the September 11 attacks, reported Daily Mirror.
Fans are petitioning to have the offensive song 'Zayn Did 9/11', which includes a picture of the Twin Tower attacks and the singer's silhouette, removed from iTunes
The hugely offensive track is still available to download from the official iTunes store and an online petition to have it removed already has more than 200 signatures.
It's claimed to be the work of American rapper Rucka Rucka Ali. His Twitter account has since been suspended but the song itself remains free to play on YouTube.
Malik has previously said of the racist abuse he receives on Twitter, "Nasty things were said like I'm a terrorist. How can you justify that? How can you call me that and get away with it? You can say whatever you want about me, I'm not bothered. But when it starts to upset people I care about or I hear about it from my mum, that's a problem.
