Zila Panchayat member alleges threat by UP minister

A newly elected Zila Panchayat member has accused an Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister and his MLC supporter of hatching a conspiracy to eliminate him.
Zila Panchayat member Thakur Prakash Singh told reporters that he has written a letter to the District Magistrate stating that he was being threatened by a cabinet minister after he won the Panchayat election from Kunda, the bastion of the minister.
Singh alleged that now as he plans to contest for the post of chairperson of Zila Parishad, the minister along with his supporter want to get him killed.
The member sought protection in the letter.
