According to Gartner, Inc., the average number of artificial intelligence (AI) projects in place, in organisations which are currently working with AI and machine learning (ML), will grow nine times in the next three years. These are findings of The Gartner AI and ML Development Strategies study conducted via an online survey in December 2018 with 106 Gartner Research Circle Members — a Gartner-managed panel composed of IT and IT/business professionals. The findings were released recently and it revealed that today, the average number of AI projects in place is four, but respondents expect to add six more projects in the next 12 months, and another 15 within the next three years. This means that in 2022, those organisations expect to have an average of 35 AI or ML projects in place.

Asian markets have demonstrated a strong predominance of smartphones as a tool to search and obtain online finance, finds a new study. These findings from the international financial holding Robocash Group has been obtained after speaking to a relatively huge sample size of almost 1.8 million customers in the Philippines, Vietnam and India and Shariah-compliant funding in Indonesia. This correlation has been formed by high penetration of the mobile internet and the intention of online customers to consume "here and now" without any geographical or other hurdles. It is applicable both in case of unexpected expenses and occasional purchases. It further reveals that the preference for smartphones to avail finance may correlate with an age factor that may have biased the findings because of the age profile of the participants. The analysts of the company mentioned that the youth under 35 years are the main potential customers of digital financial services.
