Broadcast Bill To Be Introduced This Session: Reddy

The broadcasting bill is likely to be introduced in this Parliament session, acording to union broacasting minister Jaipal Reddy. I am trying my best to introduce the braodcasting bill this session, Reddy told the Business Standard yesterday. According to some officials in the Lok sabha secrtariat, the bill is likely to be introduce on Thursday as there is no government business listed on thatday.

Reddy also said that he favoured granting maximum autonomy to government controlled Doordarshan, so that there was no criticism of interference and bias.
