The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has intorduced five new sectoral indices on 15 May. These are the BSE IT Sector Index, FMCG Sector Index, Capital Goods Sector Index, Consumer Durables Sector Index and the Healthcare Sector Index. All the indices ended the day with losses. The IT sector index ended with a loss of 201.21 points at 971.23. The BSE Capital Goods Sector Index ended at 636.08, a loss of 23.91 points. The Consumer Durables Sector Index and the Healthcare Sector Index also closed the day with a loss of 39.10 and 36.23 points at 829.90 and 1,207.49, respectively.
