Ibm-Asean To Help Andhra Computerise Govt Operations
A team from IBM-Asean, the south-east Asian arm of the computer giant, will soon visit Hyderabad to help computerise the state's administration, according to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Briefing newsmen on his week-long visit to Malaysia and Singapore here yesterday, Naidu said he discussed the use of computers in government functioning with senior IBM-Asean executives in Singapore.
The Chief Minister said that IBM has offered to help Andhra Pradesh in linking the administrative units at the village level to the state capital. My target is to usher in an electronic government within less than five years, Naidu said adding, I will soon be announcing a
