Intel Launches Pentium Ii In India

A number of PC manufacturers including Compaq, HCL-HP, IBM, Unicorp, Zenith, Digital have announced they will support the Pentium II in their hardware. Priced at around Rs 1 lakh, the chip is being positioned to further Intel's efforts towards enabling visual computing for "the masses" and the ultimate convergence of TV, computer and telephones. Pentium II includes 233 MHz and 266 MHz versions for versions, workstations, and servers.
