Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd (KOEL) has completed implementation of Oracle applications, an enterprise resource planning software, at their headquarters at Pune. The Oracle modules, which handle an enormous amount of data speedily and accurately, have been developed over a number of years to meet the increasing demands of leading companies, and embody some of the best business practices the world over. According to Atul Kirloskar, vice-chairman and managing director, Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd, "It became absolutely necessary to bring about a new order. After lot of deliberations and option analyses, we decided to link all functions in all engine groups on a common platform so that the most current information is available on-line at any given time."
