Palmer To Design Dlf 18-Hole Course

The golf resort will come up at the foothills of the Aravallis on the Gurgaon-Faridabad highway.

The resort, to be christened DLF Golf Club, will also comprise a conference hall and a five-star standard hotel. It will be located within the DLF Qutub Enclave premises.

"We will be designing and constructing an international class golf course for the DLF group of companies and the construction is to start soon," Palmer Course Design Company's vice-president and director of business development Barbara Gonzalez told Business Standard.

The DLF Golf Club is in the process of receiving clearances from the Haryana government and other agencies for the project.

When contacted, DLF Universal Ltd's senior manager (business promotion) Prithvi Nath confirmed that plans were afoot for constructing a golf resort complex in DLF Qutub Enclave.

"We are working on the project and in a couple of months time the loose ends will be tied up," he added.

However, Nath did not disclose the size of investment to be made in the DLF Golf Club.

DLF Universal is the holding and flagship company of the DLF group.

It spans the entire spectrum of real estate activities, ranging from development of residential, commercial and recretaional complexes to development of infrastructure.
