Quality Conscious

Starting as a technician on the shop floor, Crosby rose to be the corporate vice president for quality at ITT Corporation. Right off the bat Crosby established a corporate quality policy that declared: We will deliver defect-free products and services to our customers on time. He also set up a one of a kind school for ITT quality professionals.

In 1978, Crosby wrote Quality is Free. The rest is history
