The Goa government has earmarked Rs 278 crore for new projects and upgradation of existing facilities during the ninth plan to improve the power situation in the state. Addressing a press conference here yesterday, power minister Mauvin Godinho said that 20 new 33 kva sub-stations are proposed to be set up, besides upgradation of the existing Ponda and Sheldem sub-stations.
